The quick finish on Saturday at The O2 in London marked the third fastest submission victory ever in a UFC lightweight bout. Packalen (8-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) set it up when he landed a thunderous uppercut in the opening second then quickly jumped on the back of Gouti (11-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) to end the fight with a rear-naked choke . Packalen needed the victory after he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Mickael Lebout in his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 72 this past July. The fear of going 0-2 to start his UFC career could have rattled some fighters, but Packalen said he didn’t put any additional pressure on himself to perform
