A matchup of scrappy welterweights has been added to the UFC’s debut event in Tulsa, Okla., later this year. Longtime UFC veteran Thiago Alves  (20-9 MMA, 12-6 UFC) will return to the octagon against Canadian Jordan Mein  (28-9 MMA, 2-1 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 49 from Tulsa’s BOK Center. FOXSports.com first reported news of the matchup, which was later confirmed to MMAjunkie by UFC officials. It is unknown at this time if the bout will take place on the main or preliminary card. Alves was last seen in the octagon at UFC on FOX 11 this past April when he outpointed Seth Baczynski en route to a unanimous decision victory.
