SAN JOSE, Calif. – Almost everywhere she goes, DeAnna Bennett carries the memory of her father with her, sometimes even physically. “I always have it with me, especially during fight week,” Bennett told MMA Junkie on Thursday, as she showed off her father’s police badge. “It’s just kind of my memento.” Mark Bennett was his daughter’s best friend – and a San Jose police officer, too. He frequently would work shifts at SAP Center, San Jose’s major arena and home of the NHL’s San Jose Sharks.
