UFC officials today announced that welterweight Tim Means (25-7-1 MMA, 8-4 UFC) has been pulled from a planned UFC Fight Night 83 headliner with Donald Cerrone (28-7 MMA, 15-4 UFC) after being notified of a potential anti-doping policy violation. As is traditional with such announcements, the UFC declined further comment and stated only that the United States Anti-Doping Agency, who administers the UFC’s drug testing program, will handle the situation moving forward. The promotion did point out that Means has a right to complete review but that the proximity of the bout forced the UFC to pull him from the contest. “It is important to note that, under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full and fair review process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed,” the statement read
