Freddy Assuncao is riding an eight-fight winning streak and is set to carry that momentum into a battle for Gesias Cavalcante’s lightweight title at Titan FC 40. Assuncao (9-1) has fought irregularly over his career, competing only 10 times since turning pro in October 2009. This inactivity, Assuncao told MMAjunkie, is a product of repeated injuries. The most recent of those injuries came in his Titan FC 34 submission win over Cody Bollinger in July 2015
