Tony Ferguson is not pleased with Dustin Poirier . After a fight between Ferguson (25-4 MMA, 15-2 UFC) and Poirier (26-6 MMA, 18-5 UFC) fizzled for UFC 254 this month, “The Diamond” appears to be focused on a rematch with McGregor (22-4 MMA, 10-2 UFC). Both men claim they’ve accepted the fight , but McGregor has a caveat of wanting it to happen in 2020, which the UFC has yet to publicly comment on. The reason Ferguson didn’t fight Poirier at UFC 254 was because of money . Poirier wanted a more significant contract, and when the UFC denied him , Ferguson took to social media to stand by his fellow lightweight contender. The matchup couldn’t be finalized, though, and the promotion moved on.
