In this week’s Trading Shots, retired UFC and WEC fighter Danny Downes joins MMAjunkie columnist Ben Fowlkes to discuss Uriah Hall ’s response to media criticism and general negativity prior to his upset victory over Gegard Mousasi at UFC Fight Night 75 in Japan. Downes: Ben, last night Uriah Hall earned a “Performance of the Night” bonus in the biggest win of his career. After getting completely dominated in the first round, he came back to TKO Gegard Mousasi 25 seconds into the second round. Not only was it the first TKO loss of Mousasi’s career, Hall earned major style points with his spinning back kick-to-jumping knee combo . It was a major win for the man who has battled high expectations since his appearance on season 17 of “The Ultimate Fighter.” Perhaps because of the criticism he faced after the 0-2 start to his UFC career, he’s not a big fan of your buddies in the so-called media. Earlier this week, Hall spoke to MMAjunkie and had a few choice words .
