CM Punk The UFC’s signing of Phil “ CM Punk ” Brooks led to a mix of excitement and confusion from fans. Everything seemed to be up in the air for the former WWE superstar. Punk’s weight class, his opponent and where he would train were all questions that needed to be answered. Punk eventually chose Roufusport , led by head coach Duke Roufus, as his home camp in advance of his MMA debut. The choice of Roufusport had much to do with its proximity to Punk’s home in Chicago, but it’s also a camp that has bred UFC champions and where the MMA newcomer would have the ability to work with experienced coaches and training partners
