Carla Esparza History was made at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale on Friday when the organization officially crowned the inaugural champion of its newest weight class: the women’s strawweight division. Former Invicta FC titleholder  Carla Esparza (10-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) solidified her case for being the sport’s top 115-pound female fighter when she outworked and submitted a dangerous Rose Namajunas  (2-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) in the third round of the title affair and “TUF 20″ tournament final. Esparza’s “Performance of the Night” effort capped off a noteworthy UFC event that saw more female than male fighters for the first time.
