Maximo Blanco LAS VEGAS – Maximo Blanco landed a clean right hand that gave him a 16-second win – even if it was one few in attendance thought should have been stopped so soon. Referee Yves Lavigne jumped in to stop Blanco (12-6-1 MMA, 4-3 UFC) from landing any more punches to Mike De La Torre (13-5 MMA, 1-2 UFC) after a right hand put him on his backside. Despite De La Torre immediately protesting the stoppage while working on a takedown, Lavigne already had waved things off in favor of Blanco. The catchweight bout (Blanco missed weight) opened up main card of today’s TUF 21 Finale event at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass
