LAS VEGAS – UFC flyweight Demetrious Johnson defended his belt a ninth time, but “The Ultimate Fighter 24” winner Tim Elliott did not make it easy. Johnson (25-2-1 MMA, 13-1-1 UFC) was forced to recover after Elliott (13-7-1 MMA, 2-5 UFC) started fast, using his wrestling to neutralize the challenger en route to a unanimous decision.
