The former UFC middleweight champion failed multiple drug tests around his UFC 183 bout with Nick Diaz in January was forced to answer to the commission. Silva’s portion of the hearing lasted nearly three hours, and after a defense one commissioner called “hokey,” the end result was a one-year suspension and $380,000 fine for “The Spider.” His Jan. 3 victory over Diaz was also overturned to a no-contest.
