Fabricio Werdum has built a legacy out of achieving the unthinkable. He did it again at UFC 188 when he upset Cain Velasquez to become undisputed UFC heavyweight champion. Werdum (20-5-1 MMA, 8-2 UFC) gave Velasquez (13-2 MMA, 11-2 UFC) are not-so-warm welcome back to the octagon from a career-long layoff due to injury. He spoiled Velasquez’s longtime dream of fighting in Mexico when he took the gold inside Mexico City Arena with a shocking third-round submission win . There’s always something special about a UFC heavyweight title fight. This one delivered.
