Holm (8-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) kept the fight standing and picked her shots for three rounds for a split decision scorecard over Pennington (5-5 MMA, 2-2 UFC) at Los Angeles’ Staples Center. The 33-year-old has long been considered as a potential future title challenger in the women’s bantamweight division.
