RIO DE JANEIRO – In a battle of “Ultimate Fighter” veterans, Sergio Moraes put his Brazilian jiu-jitsu on display to stop Neil Magny. Magny brought a big reach advantage into the fight, but once Moraes worked his way past that, he cruised when the fight hit the canvas. The home-country fan favorite sank in a triangle choke, then transitioned to a mounted triangle to force Magny to tap at the 3:13 mark of the first round. The welterweight bout took place today at UFC 163 at Rio de Janeiro’s HSBC Arena. It aired on FX ahead of the pay-per-view main card. Magny tried to use his nine-inch reach advantage early to keep Moraes at distance. But eventually, Moraes was able to get inside with him, clinch up and land a trip takedown. And that was the beginning of the end for Magny, a Season 16 semifinalist on “The Ultimate Fighter.” From there, Moraes, the runner-up on the first season of “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil,” transitioned to side control and tried to go to work with Magny by controlling his head
