NEWARK, N.J. – After seven straight fights went to a decision and provided 21 rounds of ho-hum action, lightweights Abel Trujillo and Jamie Varner provided the action the UFC 169 crowd desperately needed. Their bout, which kicked off Saturday’s pay-per-view main card from Newark, N.J.’s Prudential Center, provided a round and a half of pure entertainment.
