NEWARK, N.J. – Neil Magny came in with a size and reach advantage over UFC newcomer Gasan Umalatov , and he put both to good use in a one-sided affair that resulted in a unanimous decision win (29-28, 30-27, 30-27). The welterweight bout opened up the preliminary card of today’s UFC 169 event at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass ahead of additional prelims on FOX Sports 1 and a main card on pay-per-view. From the opening seconds of the fight, it was clear that Magny’s reach would be a factor. He peppered Umalatov with straight punches and low kicks in the early going, all while remaining comfortably outside his opponent’s grasp
