SACRAMENTO – While Lorenz Larkin (14-4 MMA, 1-4 UFC) seemed to be trying to win it with one big blow, Derek Brunson (12-3 MMA, 3-1 UFC) was content to take it a little bit at a time. After three full rounds, it was Brunson’s strategy that proved victorious, as he used a combination of takedowns and ground-and-pound to grind out a clear unanimous decision victory (30-27, 30-27, 30-27). The middleweight bout closed out the preliminary card of today’s UFC 177 card at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento. It aired on FOX Sports 1 ahead of a main card on pay-per-view
