MEXICO CITY – Fabricio Werdum , Kelvin Gastelum , Henry Briones and Guido Cannetti each earned $50,000 bonuses for their performances at Saturday’s UFC 180 event. Werdum and Gastelum won “Performance of the Night” bonuses, while Briones and Cannetti earned “Fight of the Night” honors. UFC President Dana White announced the winners at the post-event news conference, which MMAjunkie attended. Werdum (19-5-1 MMA, 7-2 UFC) got a little bit lit up by Mark Hunt (10-9-1 MMA, 5-3-1 UFC) in the main event interim heavyweight title fight. But in the second round, the Brazilian cracked Hunt with a perfectly placed knee to the chin that dropped the New Zealander. And with a few bombs on the ground, Werdum became the new interim champion.
