MEXICO CITY – Yair Rodriguez threw nearly every submission he had and at least a few strikes he seemed to have made up on the spot in an effort to finish Leonardo Morales . He was unsuccessful in that endeavor, but his output earned Rodriguez (4-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) the unanimous decision victory (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) over a game Morales (4-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC). The bout was the featherweight final of “TUF: Latin America” and closed out the preliminary card of today’s UFC 180 event at Mexico City Arena. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following additional prelims on UFC Fight Pass and ahead of the main card on pay-per-view.
