Ryan Benoit Five fighters were suspended indefinitely following this past Saturday’s UFC 185, including flyweight Ryan Benoit , who courted controversy when he kicked  Sergio Pettis after a knockout victory. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, which recently released medical suspensions arising from the event, confirmed that the suspension was not related to Benoit’s foul, for which he apologized after the fight. “The Pettis camp did not wish to file a complaint with the Department against Mr. Benoit,” TDLR Public Information Officer Susan Stanford wrote MMAjunkie in an email.
