DALLAS – Beneil Dariush convinced Daron Cruickshank to try to grapple with him the old fashioned way – by kicking him in the body until Cruickshank wanted nothing more to do with the standup game. The result was a dominant performance for Dariush (10-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) and a rear-naked choke submission of Cruickshank (16-6 MMA, 6-4 UFC) at 2:48 of Round 2. The lightweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC 185 event at American Airlines Center in Dallas. It aired on FX following additional prelims on UFC Fight Pass and ahead of a main card on pay-per-view.
