Nordine Taleb MONTREAL – In three rounds of action, the only respite Chris Clements managed to get from the suffocating attack of Nordine Taleb was when he accidentally kicked him in the groin early in the first frame. Even that only bought Clements (12-6 MMA, 2-2 UFC) a few precious moments to breathe before Taleb (11-2 MMA, 3-0) got back to the business of taking him down, mauling him with punches and elbows, and grinding his way to a unanimous decision victory (30-27, 30-27, 30-27). The welterweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC 186 event at Bell Centre in Montreal. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass ahead of additional prelims on FOX Sports 1 and a main card on pay-per-view. Clements refused to go gently, but he simply couldn’t find an answer for Taleb’s takedowns and top control. Over and over again he found himself hauled down by double-legs and trips.
