LAS VEGAS – For some fights, the word “slugfest” just doesn’t cut it. In a wild brawl, Andrei Arlovski dropped Travis Browne , got dropped himself, then rallied to finish with a brutal TKO victory – and that was all in the first round. By the time it was over, Arlovski (24-10 MMA, 13-4 UFC) had won his third straight in the UFC, and Browne (17-3-1 MMA, 8-3-1 UFC) was left to stagger off on wobbly legs after referee Mark Smith called a merciful end to the bout at the 4:41 mark of Round 1. The heavyweight bout was part of the main card of today’s UFC 187 event at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
