Colby Covington LAS VEGAS – Mike Pyle  did his best to finish, while Colby Covington  eschewed the style points and just tried to win. Despite a few submission scares at the capable hands of Pyle (26-11-1 MMA, 9-6 UFC), Covington (8-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) got his wish, grinding out a unanimous decision victory (30-27, 29-28, 30-27) that didn’t exactly electrify the crowd, but did keep his perfect professional record intact. The welterweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC 187 event at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It aired on FOX Sports 1 ahead of the main card on pay-per-view
