HOUSTON – Derrick Lewis looked unusually tentative in the early stages of his UFC 192 bout with Viktor Pesta , but once he decided to open up with his powerful punches he was able to score a TKO victory. The heavyweight bout opened up the preliminary card of today’s UFC 192 event at Toyota Center in Houston. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass ahead of additional prelims on FOX Sports 1 and a main card on pay-per-view. Lewis (13-4 MMA, 4-2 UFC) attempted an early takedown only to find himself put on his back by Pesta (10-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC). Pesta was unable to keep the fight on the ground as Lewis quickly bounced up only to find himself down once again. This became the story of Round 1 as Pesta continued to pressure, scoring with takedowns only to have Lewis escape back to his feet.
