Danny Roberts LAS VEGAS – Danny Roberts had to fight for every inch against Dominique Steele , but his aggression paid off with a unanimous decision victory. The welterweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC 197 event at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following additional prelims on UFC Fight Pass and ahead of a main card on pay-per-view. Steele (14-7 MMA, 1-2 UFC) opened Round 1 with a punch that dropped Roberts (13-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) to his back. As Roberts attempted to move his legs up toward a triangle choke, Steele picked him up and slammed him to the canvas. Roberts managed to avoid damage on the ground and eventually moved the fight back to the feet
