Bisping (29-7 MMA, 19-7 UFC) won the belt in his 26th UFC appearance, shattering current lightweight titleholder Rafael dos Anjos’ previous record, when he caught Rockhold (15-3 MMA, 5-2 UFC) with some fight-ending strikes early in the opening round at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
