Filed under: News , UFC , Videos Raquel Pennington picked up the biggest win of her pro career when she topped Miesha Tate , her former coach on “The Ultimate Fighter.” The women’s bantamweight bout opened up the main card of the UFC 205 event at Madison Square Garden in New York. It aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass. p Related: UFC on FOX 19 results: Raquel Pennington takes close split decision from Bethe Correia Pennington dominated the fight from the early going, stinging Tate on the feet and ably defending takedown attempts and action on the ground. Pennington locked in a deep guillotine choke attempt in the first round, lifting Tate off the ground, she couldn’t get the finish though. After Pennington was awarded the unanimous decision victory, Tate announced her retirement from the sport.
