UFC 209 is headlined by a rematch between welterweight champion Tyron Woodley (16-3-1 MMA, 6-2-1 UFC) and Stephen Thompson (13-1-1 MMA, 8-1-1 UFC) as they look to settle the score following their majority draw in November. In the co-main event, Khabib Nurmagodemov (24-0 MMA, 8-0 UFC) and Tony Ferguson (22-3 MMA, 12-1 UFC) battle for an interim lightweight title and, presumably, the right to unify against champion Conor McGregor
