ABU DHABI – Khabib Nurmagomedov finally spoke to reporters for the first time on UFC 242 fight week on Friday when following ceremonial weigh-ins he hosted a media scrum. Lightweight champ Nurmagomedov (27-0 MMA, 11-0 UFC), who meets interim titleholder Dustin Poirier (25-5 MMA, 17-4 UFC) in a unification bout in Saturday’s main event, largely answered repeat questions for the more than 10-minute period. “The Eagle” did address a number of topics, though, including an explanation of why he skipped media day on Thursday, his perspective on the importance of money and having his father as part of his corner team for the first time in his UFC career
