The UFC’s biggest event of 2021 so far went own Saturday with UFC 259 , which took place at the UFC Apex at Las Vegas and aired on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+. Three championship fights were featured on the card, but the main event occupied most of the attention with Jan Blachowicz (28-8 MMA, 11-5 UFC) successfully defending his light heavyweight belt for the first time in a unanimous decision over middleweight titleholder Israel Adesanya (20-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC).
