LAS VEGAS – One of the most anticipated bantamweight title fights in UFC history is official after Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling made weight for UFC 259 . At Friday’s official UFC 259 weigh-ins, reigning champion Yan (15-1 MMA, 7-0 UFC) and streaking challenger Sterling (19-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC) had no issues on the scale as they successfully hit their marks for their featured matchup. Yan, who is looking to make his first title defense after claiming the vacant belt against Jose Aldo last July, registered at 135 pounds when he stepped on the scale. Sterling, meanwhile, took no risks as he hit 134.5 pounds for his first UFC championship opportunity.
