Charles Oliveira finally realized his dream of becoming a UFC champion, but it didn’t come without adversity. Oliveira (31-8 MMA, 19-8 UFC) claimed the vacant lightweight title at UFC 262, when he rallied to stop Michael Chandler (22-6 MMA, 1-1 UFC) in the opening seconds of Round 2. It was a back-and-forth round where Chandler looked to be in trouble early, when the UFC’s all-time leader in submission wins took his back. But Chandler exploded out and put the pressure on Oliveira, eventually dropping him at the end of the first frame. Chandler swarmed him, but Oliveira managed to survive
