HOUSTON – Derrick Lewis and Tai Tuivasa came face-to-face as opponents for the first time during UFC 271 fight week at the pre-fight press conference. After answering questions from the media, Lewis (26-8 MMA, 17-6 UFC) and Tuivasa (14-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) came face-to-face. Lewis, 37, former UFC heavyweight title challenger and rising contender Tuivasa, 28, meet Saturday in a clash between two fan-favorite fighters. The fight serves as the co-main event of UFC 271, which takes place at Toyota Center and airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+. Looking to make it two straight wins, Lewis returns to his hometown looking to erase the bad taste of his interim title challenge loss at UFC 265.
