Before we get there, the UFC has released the full fight video of the first clash between the pair, which took place at UFC 243 in October 2019 and saw Adesanya (21-1 MMA, 10-1 UFC) become undisputed champion with a second-round knockout of Whittaker (23-5 MMA, 14-3 UFC). Adesanya entered the fight as interim titleholder and challenged Whittaker in front of a record-setting crowd at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia. “The Last Stylebender” showed up in elite form and picked Whittaker apart until a final series of shots ended the fight at the 3:33 mark of Round 2. Whittaker has rebounded in a big way since losing the title. He’s earned three consecutive wins and now gets the chance to challenge Adesanya in the main event of the Feb.
