HOUSTON – Renato Moicano continues to build a quality resume since he moved to lightweight. On Saturday’s UFC 271 pay-per-view main card at Toyota Center, Moicano (16-4-1 MMA, 8-4 UFC) defeated Alexander Hernandez (13-4 MMA, 5-3 UFC) via submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:23 of Round 1. In the first round, the two fighters implemented seemingly opposite gameplans. For Hernandez, he found success on the feet early. A loud body kick then changed Moicano’s flow completely.
