The emotionally charged grudge match between Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal is official for UFC 272 after both men made weight. At Friday’s official weigh-in , Covington (16-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC) and Masvidal (35-15 MMA, 12-8 UFC) both hit the welterweight limit when they stepped on the scale, and now everything is set for the former teammates turned rivals to settle the score inside the octagon. Covington stepped on the scale first roughly 34 minutes into the two-hour window and was 170.5 pounds, while “BMF” champion Masvidal came in almost exactly one hour later and registered at 170.5 pounds
