Nate Diaz had a night to remember at UFC 279 , and now he gets to enter free agency with a lot of hype around his name and a whole lot of leverage. After waiting more than a year to complete the final bout on his UFC contract, Diaz (20-14 MMA, 15-12 UFC) finally got to step back in the octagon on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It wasn’t against Khamzat Chimaev as originally scheduled, but Tony Ferguson (25-8 MMA, 15-6 UFC) instead, who Diaz managed to submit in the fourth round of the welterweight bout.
