VANCOUVER, British Columbia – The UFC 289 main event is official after two-division champion Amanda Nunes and Mexican contender Irene Aldana made weight Friday morning. Nunes (22-5 MMA, 15-2 UFC) and Aldana (14-6 MMA, 7-4 UFC) hit the women’s bantamweight mark at the UFC host hotel, with the champion and challenger both registering at 135 pounds.
