VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Just one time, Diana Belbita wants to face an opponent who will strike with her. Initially, Belbita (15-7 MMA, 2-3 UFC) thought her opponent at Saturday’s UFC 289 , Maria Oliveira (13-7 MMA, 1-3 UFC), was a stand-and-bang sort of foe. However, as the fight played out, that was disproved. “Everybody tries to hug me. I don’t know why,” Belbita told MMA Junkie and other reporters at a post-fight news conference.
