If there were any fans out there who thought they’ve seen it all in MMA, Derrick Lewis going Jorge Masvidal-type of airborne for a flying-knee TKO – and then taking his pants of for a Degeneration X-style crotch chop – may have them rethinking things. In a heavyweight bout on the UFC 291 main card, Lewis (27-11 MMA, 18-9 UFC) ran across the cage for a flying knee on the opening bell and finished Marcos Rogerio de Lima (21-9-1 MMA, 10-7 UFC) with follow-up punches 33 seconds into Round 1.
