SYDNEY – Champion Israel Adesanya and challenger Sean Strickland were professional on the scale as they made weight Friday for the UFC 293 headliner. Adesanya (24-2 MMA, 13-2 UFC) will attempt to make the first defense of his second middleweight title reign on Saturday when he puts the belt on the line against Strickland (27-5 MMA, 14-5 UFC) in the pay-per-view headliner at Qudos Bank Arena. Prelims air on ESPNews and stream on ESPN+. After many words exchanged prior to the contest, Adesanya and Strickland needed one final requirement in making weight.
