Kamaru Usman acknowledges Khamzat Chimaev ’s rise in the UFC but thinks he still has some work to do. Usman (20-1 MMA, 15-0 UFC) already has defended his welterweight title five times, defeating Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal twice in that stretch. But his division is always producing new contenders, most notably Chimaev, who’s having quite the run. Although Chimaev (10-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) has competed in the octagon just four times, the unbeaten fighter has looked dominant. He also doesn’t lack confidence, having already called out Usman on numerous occasions
