UFC Fight Night 106 took place at Centro de Formacao Olimpica do Nordeste in Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil. The card aired on FS1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass. Leading the way with a maximum non-title-fight payout of $20,000 was former UFC champion Vitor Belfort (25-14 MMA, 14-10), who in his 24th octagon appearance suffered a first-round TKO loss at the hands of Kelvin Gastelum (14-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) in their middleweight headliner
