The UFC’s first event in Chile took place Saturday with UFC Fight Night 129. Movistar Arena in Santiago hosted the card, which aired on FS1 following prelims on FS2 and UFC Fight Pass. In the main event, Kamaru Usman (13-1 MMA, 8-0 UFC) made history in the welterweight division when he outworked former title challenger Demian Maia (25-9 MMA, 19-9 UFC) for a unanimous-decision win to stay unbeaten inside the octagon. Usman’s victory closed out a 13-fight card that saw seven fights end in a decision.
