UFC Fight Night 196 took place Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, and it was just the fifth time the promotion has staged a 14-fight card. The final bout was the most significant of all. Marvin Vettori (18-5-1 MMA, 8-3-1 UFC) beat Paulo Costa (13-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) by unanimous decision in their light heavyweight headliner. It was a fight that will go down in the record books for the amount of volume produced by both sides, but in the end only one man got his hand raised.
