ABU DHABI – Ryan LaFlare ‘s wrestling looked decidedly better than fellow East Coast standout John Howard ‘s, but the gap between their abilities probably was lengthened by an accidental groin strike in the second frame. Howard never really recovered from the shot, which nearly brought a halt to the bout, but LaFlare kept coming and won a unanimous decision. The welterweight bout was part of today’s UFC Fight Night 39 main card. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass from du Arena in Abu Dhabi. LaFlare took exactly one strike from his heavy-handed opponent before taking the fight to the ground
