BERLIN – So much for octagon jitters. Ruslan Magomedov (12-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and Viktor Pesta (9-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC), two newcomers to the UFC, came to fight, and they kicked off UFC Fight Night 41 with a solid heavyweight scrap. In the end, though, Magomedov’s takedown defense and creative striking, including some effective counter-punching, carried him to a unanimous-decision victory. The bout opened today’s UFC Fight Night 41 event at O2 World Berlin in Germany. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass. Each fighter had his moments in the first round.
