ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Fighting in front of a hometown crowd, Albuquerque native John Dodson (16-6 MMA, 5-1 UFC) may have secured a future shot at the belt with a second-round TKO of fellow onetime title challenger John Moraga (14-3 MMA, 3-2 UFC). Dodson was awarded the stoppage between the second and third rounds when the cageside doctor waved off the bout after Moraga took a knee to the face. The flyweight bout was part of the main card of today’s UFC Fight Night 42 event at Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, N.M. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
